About the role
The Development Assistant supports Su Casa's mission to provide multigenerational support for Latino immigrant families. Key responsibilities include maintaining donor information, preparing reports, and assisting with fundraising and marketing activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all donor information, records, lists, and gifts in the donor management software.
- Review incoming donations and accounts regularly for updates, missing or incomplete information, and reconciliation.
- Support the finance team in reconciling donation records and preparing tax receipts and acknowledgments.
- Prepare donor reports and lists as needed.
- Analyze fundraising and marketing efforts using reports.
- Prepare and maintain lists—email, mailing, contacts, funders, etc.—for fundraising campaigns.
- Track responses, donations, participation, or other fundraising information.
- Complete data entry for funding campaigns.
- Aid in fundraising events by managing registration and RSVPs, overseeing event participation and donations, setting up and executing events, and following up post-event.
- Manage social media outreach, collecting, organizing, or creating posts, and preparing materials for events.
- Assist with event preparation and closeout.
- Report any concerns or problems to supervisors and directors.
- Maintain confidentiality in all reporting and record keeping.
- Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with supervisors.
- Demonstrate respect and professionalism in all interactions.
Requirements
- Experience with CRM systems, databases, spreadsheets, or other record-management systems.
- Experience in administrative or data-based roles.
- Nonprofit or fundraising experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and self-motivation.
- Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
- Professional and teachable demeanor.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.
- Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Comfort in a multilingual, Christian environment.
Benefits
Flexible hours between 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday; exact schedule determined with the supervisor. Weekend and evening event support during high fundraising and marketing seasons. Additional Su Casa Family events as outlined in the staff calendar.
Pay
$15/hour
Schedule
Starting at 20 hours per week, may increase up to 29 hours weekly.
