Description

Verland is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development and Communications Manager to join our team. In this crucial role, the ideal candidate will be a humble and driven professional who gets along well with others. In partnership with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Development and Communications Manager will develop and execute a cost-effective and broad-based fundraising program to secure general operating support from individuals, corporations, foundations, grants, and organizations.

Requirements

  • Four (4) to six (6) years’ experience in a similar role with proven success in fundraising.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience managing projects and staff.
  • Development skills.
  • Understanding of fundraising and advocacy campaigns and ability to shape content to support fundraising and advocacy efforts.
  • Proficient with sponsorship solicitation and fundraising event logistics.

Minimum Training And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or marketing preferred.
  • Track record of success in building fundraising programs and achieving annual fundraising goals.
  • Experience in cost-effective management of fundraising events and programs is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) with 1+ years of experience in the IID field is preferred.
  • Associate’s degree (2 years) with 6+ years of experience in the IID field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience at an ICF/IID setting in lieu of educational requirements.

Must Have

  • Must be able to obtain all required clearances and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
