Developer/Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid Kissimmee, FL (Onsite 2-4 days a week) • Long-term contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer / Developer to join a collaborative technology team focused on building and enhancing scalable software solutions. This role will contribute to the design, development, testing, and implementation of software applications and platform capabilities that support business-critical initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with modern web technologies, cloud platforms, and backend development, along with a passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to small-scale software development projects, including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software components, enhancements, fixes, and new applications.
• Develop highly scalable and reliable software systems and applications.
• Perform application testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure quality and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code at the component level.
• Support software solutions used in networked, cloud-based, internet-facing, and enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to gather requirements and identify system improvements.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including planning, development, testing, and deployment activities.
• Contribute to technical discussions and provide input on software architecture and design decisions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, development practices, and industry trends.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience working within an Agile development environment.
• Strong proficiency with:
  • Angular
  • NestJS
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Redis
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing modern web applications using Angular.
• Experience building backend services and APIs using NestJS.
• Experience with AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Experience working with Redis for caching, data storage, or performance optimization.
• Interest in expanding knowledge of modern data engineering tools and methodologies.
