Developer Relations Engineer
About the role
Runware is transforming how developers build with AI by offering a powerful platform for advanced media generation — without the complexity of GPU management or scaling infrastructure. Our mission is to create an ecosystem where developers of all kinds can seamlessly integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities into their products. We are looking for a Developer Relations Engineer who will become the face of Runware within the developer community — especially across events, hackathons, meetups, and conferences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in community-driven environments, understands AI models deeply, and knows how to inspire developers through hands-on engagement. Your focus is community presence, live demos, education, and real-world interaction.
Responsibilities
Represent Runware at meetups, hackathons, conferences, and workshops across the Bay Area and beyond
Deliver live demos, lightning talks, hands-on sessions, and technical walkthroughs
Partner closely with the Marketing & Events Lead to plan, prepare, and execute community-focused initiatives
Follow up with write-ups, recaps, or topic-driven posts that extend the conversation beyond the room and keep the community engaged online
Build and nurture a strong local AI developer community around Runware
Support developers across Discord, GitHub, X/Twitter, Reddit, and other community channels
Help developers integrate Runware's API, troubleshoot issues, and explore use cases
Collect and synthesize developer feedback to inform product and engineering teams
Create a deep understanding of Runware's AI models — capabilities, limitations, and ideal use cases
Create compelling demos, prototypes, and example projects that showcase real-world applications
Maintain technical accuracy and clarity in all public interactions and presentations
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work with product, engineering, and marketing teams to translate new capabilities into community-ready demos and narratives
Support product launches through event participation, live showcases, and developer outreach
Requirements
A strong understanding of AI models, especially generative and media-focused systems
Experience engaging with developer communities (DevRel, community management, open-source, hackathons, or similar)
Comfortable presenting, demoing, and speaking to technical audiences
The ability to explain complex concepts clearly and accurately
A collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams
Comfortable working fully remotely while attending frequent in-person events
A strong sense of ownership
Nice to have
Background in organizing or hosting developer events
Startup experience or comfort in fast-moving environments
