What You’ll Do Here
- Community and feedback loop
- Show up as a technical presence in Discord and GitHub
- Answer questions, unblock users, and spot recurring patterns
- Help useful fixes, templates, and ideas move into the registry, docs, or product and engineering backlog
- Track the broader developer pulse and surface relevant signals internally
- Balance self-serve support with direct help to ensure users can move quickly
- Registry
- Curate the registry with a community lens
- Audit coverage gaps, prioritize needs, and maintain high-use templates
- Create and maintain first-party templates for key stacks
- Make contributing to the registry easier by improving guides, streamlining reviews, and partnering with engineering on registry server improvements
- Review community pull requests quickly and constructively
- Maintain CI, linting, and automated testing to keep the registry healthy
- Conferences, demos, and events
- Give talks or run workshops at technical events
- Create demo environments and produce recorded demos
- Run live product demos at events and collaborate with marketing on content
- Docs and guides
- Audit and fix gaps, friction, and stale paths in existing docs and guides
- Create end-to-end tutorials and deep-dive guides for complex scenarios
- Partner with PMs and technical writers to make community-facing docs complete, accurate, and usable
- Community programs
- Own and run community programs such as education partnerships, community funds, home lab licenses, platform engineering roundtables, and bounty programs
- Software or platform engineering background
- Strong practitioner empathy and willingness to travel up to 20%
- Tinkering mindset and bias for action
- Experience participating in technical communities
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience speaking at conferences, running workshops, or building an audience around technical content
- Experience as a community moderator, support engineer, maintainer, or trusted technical presence
- Exposure to enterprise platform engineering concepts
