About the role

The Developer Relations team at Arize AI is dedicated to providing exceptional developer experiences for our flagship products, Arize AX and Arize Phoenix. This role focuses on maintaining and improving the accuracy and usability of our documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the health of Arize's product documentation: ensure it remains accurate as we ship new features and rewrite outdated content.
  • Build automated systems to monitor documentation quality, detect drift between documentation and code, test code samples, and draft updates for review.
  • Create structured content, machine-readable indexes, and measure the effectiveness of documentation in guiding agents through tasks.
  • Develop tutorials, cookbooks, and open-source demonstration repositories to guide developers from initial setup to working code.
  • Ensure Arize is accurately documented in external sources, collaborating with integration partners, framework maintainers, and course authors.
  • Create a seamless onboarding experience for new users, measured by their ability to achieve their first working evaluation independently.
  • Engage with the developer community at events and online, providing feedback to shape product roadmaps and assist in marketing efforts.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation engineering, developer relations, or an engineering role with extensive writing.
  • Outstanding technical communication skills, evidenced by public-facing documentation, blog posts, or videos.
  • Working knowledge of LLM-based app development, including agents, RAG, and orchestration frameworks.
  • Curiosity and self-motivation to learn continuously in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience with documentation automation, such as link checking, snippet testing, style linting, and LLM-assisted review.
  • Existing experience with open-source projects, particularly Arize Phoenix.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $175,000, plus a generous equity package.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), unlimited PTO, parental leave, and mental wellness support.
  • Option to work in-person in New York City or the San Francisco Bay Area, or fully remote with a stipend for co-working spaces.
