About the role

The role of Developer Experience at Tenex combines building with AI and telling the story of what is built. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building with AI in public using Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, and future AI coding tools.
  • Creating content about what is built, such as videos, posts, threads, and playbooks.
  • Educating the AI-interested audience that is Tenex's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Leading AI workshops with Tenex customers, including hackathons, leadership enablement sessions, and function-specific workshops.
  • Driving the rhythm of the engine by establishing a cadence of build → content → workshop.

Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Shipping real software with the latest AI coding tools.
  • Producing educational content for Tenex's audience.
  • Running AI workshops for Tenex customers.
  • Staying on the cutting edge of AI development and sharing insights.
  • Establishing a consistent schedule for builds, shoots, and workshops.

Requirements

Qualifications required for this position include:

  • 3+ years of software development experience, with real shipping experience using AI coding tools.
  • A strong portfolio of teaching content, including videos, posts, playbooks, or threads.
  • Deep understanding of AI and ability to apply it in practical scenarios.
  • Experience leading technical workshops and training sessions.
  • A creator's mindset for identifying moments worth documenting and producing content.
  • Operational discipline in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills

  • Experience straddling engineering and content roles.
  • Ability to identify impactful builds and content.
  • Strong teaching and facilitation abilities.
  • Exceptional taste and judgment in evaluating content quality.

Pay

The base salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 annually, with opportunities for bonus and equity based on performance.

Schedule

Work is primarily in-person, with the option to occasionally work remotely.
