Responsibilities

  • In this highly cross-functional role, you will treat internal product engineers as your primary customers.
  • You will help establish consistent, secure, and scalable software development practices across TSC business units.
  • Crucially, you will also lead the technical roadmap for safely integrating generative AI and automated agents into the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Own and continuously improve the enterprise software development operating model, including lifecycle processes, engineering standards, repository practices, CI/CD expectations, security controls, release practices, and documentation requirements.
  • Assess software development practices across TSC business units and develop a roadmap to improve consistency, maturity, developer experience, and risk management.
  • Define and promote standardized “golden path” or paved-road workflows, repository blueprints, branch-management practices, CI/CD frameworks, and reusable engineering patterns.
  • Partner with business-unit engineering leaders to align implementation, address legitimate differences, and support adoption across teams with varying tools and maturity levels.
  • Translate cybersecurity policies, software development standards, and contractual requirements into practical engineering requirements, workflows, acceptance criteria, and operating procedures.
  • Coordinate implementation of secure development practices, including code review, SAST/DAST, dependency and vulnerability management, secrets handling, SBOMs, release assurance, and evidence retention.
  • Establish and improve governance for open-source software and third-party dependencies, including sourcing, licensing, repository management, traceability, scanning, approval processes, and exception handling.
  • Lead the strategy for safely integrating generative AI assistants and agentic capabilities into the software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, review, documentation, and data protection.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity, Legal, and Engineering to define AI usage guardrails related to data access, intellectual property, controlled information, provenance, disclosure, and generated-code review.
  • Define requirements for and coordinate the development of self-service infrastructure and automation that enable teams to create compliant repositories, pipelines, and development environments with minimal manual effort.
  • Coordinate evaluations and implementation of developer-experience, CI/CD, artifact-management, scanning, SBOM, AI Gateway, and related enterprise tooling.
  • Maintain roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, status reporting, requirements, and investment proposals for major initiatives.
