About the role
The Developer Advocate builds real things with SearchApi’s API and presents them to developers. They host videos, run communities, and bridge the gap between the company and its developer audience.
Responsibilities
- Host shorts, long-form videos, and webinars that developers watch.
- Build real demos using SearchApi’s API and tools.
- Show SearchApi in conversations, comparisons, and best-of lists.
- Show up in developer spaces like Discord, forums, and conferences.
- Bring developer feedback and feature requests back to the product team.
- Write launch posts, integration guides, and example apps.
Requirements
- Links to on-camera technical content you made yourself.
- An existing audience or following.
- Talks, podcasts, or livestreams.
- Community building (Discord, forums, open source).
- Developer-tool or API content, and strong editing skills.
Qualifications
- Genuinely technical.
- Compelling on camera.
- Clear, engaging, and natural on video and in front of a room.
- Native or C2 English.
- Professional setup with clean audio and video.
- Consistent and self-directed.
- Ship on a schedule without being chased.
- Actually like developers.
