Developer Advocate

About the role

We're looking for a Developer Advocate to empower and grow our global developer community. This role bridges the gap between Notion's teams and developers, helping us understand their needs and extend Notion's capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and support relationships with developers and our Product and Engineering teams.
• Build and publish engaging and helpful content, including demos, guides, API reference material, and blog posts.
• Collaborate with the Storytelling team to amplify community-created content through social media and other channels.
• Own Notion's strategy and presence at hackathons, developer conferences, and events to drive developer engagement.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Business Development teams to improve APIs and guide the developer community through changes.
• Manage key developer channels, including Notion Devs Slack, Notion Devs X, and developer documentation to meet the community's needs and stay updated on our roadmap and releases.
• Work with marketing and sales teams to ensure they understand how developer features can benefit our customers.

Requirements

• A solid technical background and a strong presence in the developer community.
• An exceptional communicator, able to interface with both individual developers and large audiences.
• An ability to build from 0 to 1 and own a program that grows as a pillar of the company.
• An interest in business opportunities that the Developer Platform opens and accelerates for Notion.
• An experience partnering with engineering teams to deliver anticipated products.
• An experience working with internal stakeholders and managing projects on a deadline.

Skills

• A background as a developer advocate, engineer, or product manager at a company where APIs are critical to growth.
• A creative approach to problem-solving and content creation.
• An eagerness to learn and adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results.

Pay

The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role's scope and complexity, and the candidate's experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $220,000 per year.
