Dev Ops Software Engineer 2 (TS/SCI with Poly)

About the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join our ICAM team. In this role, you will help build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure, deployment processes, and tooling that enable our development teams to deliver reliable software efficiently. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, Elasticsearch, containerization, monitoring, and automation. You should be comfortable working collaboratively with system and software engineers and security teams while taking ownership of DevOps initiatives from implementation through production support.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure, deployment processes, and tooling for software delivery.
- Manage Kubernetes cluster lifecycle, including developing and maintaining Helm charts for application deployment and configuration.
- Integrate GitOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and automation using Ansible.
- Design and deploy scalable, high-availability solutions across multiple service centers (e.g., availability zones).
- Work with PKI and certificate-based authentication.
- Manage and optimize Elasticsearch clusters, Logstash pipelines, and Kibana dashboards, focusing on performance and data ingestion.
- Support systems using MongoDB.
- Collaborate with software developers, test engineers, and system administrators.
- Lead technical discussions and brief technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop program review materials.
- Use JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with Full Scope polygraph.
- Experience with Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management.
- Experience developing and maintaining Helm charts for application deployment and configuration.
- Experience with GitOps tools and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Infrastructure-as-code and automation experience utilizing Ansible.
- Understanding of scalability and high-availability strategies for deployments across multiple service centers.
- Experience with PKI and certificate-based authentication.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and service-based architecture.
- Experience managing Elasticsearch clusters, Logstash pipelines, and Kibana dashboards.
- Experience supporting systems using MongoDB.
