Dev Ops Architect
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and maintain computerized databases, including database structures, documentation, operational guidelines, and long-term architecture.
- Manage and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2.x, Oracle WebLogic, and Oracle Database 19c RAC environments running on Linux/Unix.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of data across databases and supporting systems.
- Establish and maintain database security controls and data protection standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor database management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure platform stability.
- Execute system administration activities, including patching, cloning, backups, and recovery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Oracle EBS and integrated applications.
- Deploy, upgrade, relocate, and decommission database servers in both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Provide advanced technical support for Oracle EBS and Oracle database-related issues.
- Support and maintain existing data platforms while helping drive adoption of modern technologies and architectures.
- Participate in architecture discussions and influence product and platform roadmaps.
- Define database strategies, architecture standards, and operational procedures to ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data.
- Take ownership of new initiatives and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Company’s data platform capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration.
- Comprehensive experience with Oracle 19c (or newer) RAC environments on Linux/Unix, including: Software installation, Database creation, Patching, Performance tuning, Backup and recovery.
- Expertise in Oracle EBS R12.2.x administration, including upgrades, migrations, and application support.
- Strong experience managing the full lifecycle of Oracle WebLogic Server, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting experience.
- Experience developing custom tools to automate, monitor, or support large-scale distributed systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and prioritization abilities.
Skills
- Experience with Oracle Cloud applications such as: Oracle Fusion, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
- Experience with Oracle Middleware technologies, including: SOA Suite, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture.
- Oracle professional certifications such as: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), OCI Architect Certification, WebLogic Server Administrator Certification.
- Understanding of modern cloud-based data platform technologies and architectures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Pay
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $71.11 - $71.81 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
