Detroit Customer Door Cashier (Part-Time)

About the role

The Customer Door Cashier is an office‑based clerical role responsible for the timely processing of daily orders picked up from the Detroit warehouse. The position requires use of a computer and learning proprietary software, working alongside a peer for training, and maintaining a professional demeanor while interacting with coworkers and customers through a cash office window. Great Lakes Wine & Spirits is Michigan's largest alcoholic beverage wholesaler, servicing all 83 counties with over 1,000 employees statewide. Responsibilities

• Daily cash handling and balancing
• Printing, distributing, sorting, and filing a large volume of paperwork
• Demonstrate initiative to improve abilities to cover the position solo within three months of hire
• Work additional days as needed for PTO and vacation coverage in the department

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Basic computer, math, and presentation skills
• Ability to learn and operate proprietary software
• Professional demeanor, dressing and grooming appropriately

Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• One year of cash‑handling experience (preferred)

Requirements

• Pass pre‑employment screenings: full background check, 10‑panel drug test, and physical evaluation
• Adhere to employee policy manual and any applicable contracts or work rules
• Cooperate with all management and staff of Great Lakes Wine & Spirits
• Follow all MLCC rules and regulations as they apply to the position
• Use alcohol responsibly when related to business activities
• Maintain a safe driving record

Pay

$16.50 per hour

Schedule

Three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; 6:00 am
