Detention Deputy - SHERIFF-KPERS

Responsibilities
- Help maintain safety, security, and order throughout the facility
- Maintain inmate movement, behavior, and well-being
- Respond to fights, medical emergencies, and other critical incidents
- Conduct searches, head counts, and security checks
- Operate cameras, doors, alarms, and other control systems
- Prepare accurate logs and incident reports
- Help prevent escapes, contraband, and injury to inmates, staff, and visitors
- Support daily operations including meals, visitation, recreation, and clinic security
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- No record of criminal conviction, diversion, or expungement of any felony or crime of dishonesty, or the equivalent under the uniform code of military justice

Schedule
Shift work, days off vary with two consecutive days off.
