Detention Center Clerk

Description

Under supervision of the Captain of Corrections, work in compliance with Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office policies and procedures; assists victims of crimes to ensure that all victims are able to understand and participate in the criminal justice process; follow protocol/initiatives/directives; review all reports and forms to insure completeness proper documentation and accuracy.

• Establish victim contact when suspects are arrested, transferred, or released from the Detention Center.
• Cook with the victim regarding any bond hearings or other court hearings to ensure that victims of crimes are able to fully understand and participate in the criminal justice process.
• Cook appointments with attorneys and courts.

Typical Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess valid S.C. driver’s license.
