Detailer Internship

About the role

This internship is only available to high school students in NE Indiana. Learn AutoCAD fundamentals to prepare deck and joist layouts. Help promote philanthropy activities to develop communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deck and joist layout plans and sections using AutoCAD
• Prepare RFI’s and coordinate project details with customers, steel detailers, engineers and others
• Calculate joist and girder loading based on design loading provided on contract documents
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, production driven environment
• Meet schedules for assigned projects
• Other duties as necessary

Qualifications

• Candidates should have an interest in a career where they'll utilize 2D/3D Drafting & Modeling Software
• Candidates must be enrolled in a high school entering their senior year
• Preferred cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.7
