Detailer/ AutoCAD Drafter Trainee

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings and manage detailing projects for rebar, mesh wire, and related concrete reinforcing products.
• Develop basic knowledge of rebar and concrete reinforcing products.
• Review and verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda, and other contractual information.
• Represent Nucor Rebar Fabrication and liaise between contractor, engineer, placer, and detailer.
• Pre-plan all projects for critical path, scope, and schedules.
• Review all changes and provide information for change orders.
• Address construction conflicts/disputes with timely, cost-effective resolutions.
• Uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
• Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting from an accredited school or currently enrolled.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Construction knowledge, with concrete-related experience particularly helpful.

Pay

$21.33 per hour plus yearly ROA bonus and yearly profit sharing bonus.
