The Detailer / Lot Attendant
The Detailer / Lot Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and organization of all boats, inventory, and dealership grounds. This role ensures vessels are detailed to the highest standards while keeping the sales yard organized and customer-ready, contributing directly to an exceptional customer experience.
- Perform full detailing on boats and marine vehicles, including washing, waxing, polishing, and interior cleaning (upholstery, carpets, and fixtures).
- Inspect boats to identify areas needing cleaning, attention, or minor cosmetic repair.
- Apply and remove decals and perform minor cosmetic repairs (trim, putty, paint touch-ups, frames, steps, hitches).
- Operate and maintain detailing equipment, tools, and cleaning supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the sales yard and dealership grounds.
- Move, stage, and reposition boats, trailers, and inventory as needed.
- Absorb incoming inventory and ensure all boats are properly positioned, clean, and display-ready at all times.
- Remove debris, trash, and hazards to maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with service, sales, and delivery teams as needed.
- Help prepare boats for customer delivery or pickup.
- Interact professionally with customers and support a high level of satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Previous experience in detailing, lot attendant work, or a similar role preferred
- Marine or boating knowledge is a plus but not required
