About the Role

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck Dealership and Leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Body Shop Detailer. The role of the Body Shop Detailer will perform cleaning and detailing of vehicles, full appearance reconditioning inside and out, interior/exterior paint/fab application - wash, clean and polish vehicles, provide quality workmanship in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation
• Communicates all defects to supervisor
• Replaces missing or defective small parts
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area
• Responsible for proper handling and prevention of damage to company tools, equipment, and facilities
• Reports any damage to company or customer equipment or property immediately to supervisor
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary
• Abides by all company policies
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
