About the role
The Desktop Technician supports and maintains the end-user computing environment at Palladyne AI, a U.S.-based defense and industrial technology company.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, peripherals, and software applications.
- Build, configure, deploy, and maintain end-user computer systems and workplace technology.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues across Windows and macOS environments.
- Support endpoint management platforms and assist with device provisioning, software deployment, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Aid with onboarding activities, including workstation setup, account coordination, and new hire technology orientation.
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
- Support endpoint security initiatives, software updates, and system configuration standards.
- Respond to employee requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems while delivering excellent customer service.
- Participate in projects and initiatives related to endpoint deployments, lifecycle management, and workplace technology improvements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience supporting end-user hardware, software, and workplace technology environments.
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Experience with endpoint management or device administration tools such as Intune, Jamf, NinjaOne, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity.
- Understanding of endpoint security concepts and best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, robotics, or technology-focused environment.
- Experience with device imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- CompTIA A+, Security+, Microsoft, Apple, or similar certifications.
