It ensures information security, compliance with various regulations, and adherence to company policies.

About the Role

Capital Dynamics is seeking to hire a highly capable Desktop Support Analyst to join the New York office on a fixed-term contract basis. The role is responsible for providing on-site/in-person support to staff across the Microsoft 365 environment, end-user support across all business functions, and the operational management of core IT processes including provisioning, asset management, and break-fix resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Microsoft 365 Administration – Administer and maintain the firm's M365 environment including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and associated integrations. Own configuration, permissions management, and ongoing housekeeping across all services. Serve as the internal subject matter expert for M365 queries and issues.
  • End-User Support – Deliver technology support to investment professionals, senior management, and operational staff. Maintain response and resolution standards consistent with a professional services environment. All support interactions are expected to meet a high service standard—proactive, accurate, and resolved without requiring follow-up.
  • User Lifecycle Management – Own the end-to-end provisioning and deprovisioning process for all New York-based staff. Manage access rights across M365 and connected systems in line with the firm's permissions framework. Maintain accurate records of user status and entitlements.
  • Break-Fix and Asset Management – Triage, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues across Windows and Mac environments. Escalate to vendors or third-party support where required. Maintain the firm's technology asset inventory and manage device lifecycle.
  • SharePoint Administration – Configure and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, and permissions structures. The firm operates active SharePoint infrastructure as part of its broader data program; the Support Analyst is expected to contribute to its ongoing management and development.
  • Meeting Room and AV Technology – Maintain meeting room technology, AV equipment, and video conferencing systems. Investment teams operate a high volume of internal and external calls; reliability of these systems is operationally critical.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management – Document resolutions, maintain configuration records, and develop runbooks for recurring processes. The Technology function operates with a small team; institutional knowledge must be captured systematically.
  • Flag security and risk concerns to the Technology Delivery Manager and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Requirements

  • A degree-level education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a technology/desktop support role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration. Familiarity with SharePoint configuration and permissions management is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an engaging personality. The role requires sustained interaction with senior professionals across investment and operational functions. The candidate must illustrate experience working in a client-first environment.
  • Organized and self-directed. The role carries real autonomy within a small team and requires the ability to manage competing priorities without close supervision.
  • Genuine interest in technology as a discipline, including current developments in data infrastructure and artificial intelligence.
  • Must be fluent in English and display superior verbal/written communication skills.
