Desktop Support Technician | Part-Time | Moody Center
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to on-site employees, diagnosing and resolving desktop, laptop, printer, and mobile device issues.
- Configure, deploy, and update computer systems using standard company imaging and provisioning processes.
- Assist users with basic network connectivity issues, VPN setup, and Wi-Fi configurations.
- Escalate complex, unresolved issues to Tier 2/3 support teams or vendors as necessary.
- Work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, holidays, and extended (long) workdays for an extended number of days as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree, technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+), or 1–2 years of relevant IT experience is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and standard PC hardware.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and customer-first approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift/move heavy objects and set up computer equipment at various workspaces.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Pay
This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00.
Schedule
Frequent bending, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, lifting 50+ pounds, sitting, exposure to moderate to loud noises, and extensive walking through the building.
