Desktop Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated IT Representative to join our global IT team at our critical production site in San Antonio. This role ensures the smooth operation of our facility, providing immediate local support and contributing to a stable and essential support environment where your impact is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate local support for production facility issues and breakdowns.
• Manage the operating system layer and applications on servers, ensuring proper backups, patching, restore capabilities, and security.
• Support a Microsoft ecosystem including O365, Active Directory (on-premise and cloud-synchronized), and cloud-native Intune.
• Utilize Teamviewer for remote troubleshooting as needed.
• Prioritize production issues, understanding their direct impact on the business.
• Maintain old systems, server rooms, and network cabinets when not actively engaged in other tasks.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively in layman's terms to non-technical staff.
• Escalate Network-related issues to our IT Managed Service Provider.
• Participate in weekly and monthly team meetings with the global IT team.

Requirements

• Experience administering and supporting Active Directory.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Proficiency supporting users with Microsoft 365 products and services.

Skills

• Experience with SharePoint administration and support (nice-to-have).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune device management (nice-to-have).
• Experience using or supporting Power Automate workflows (nice-to-have).
• Familiarity with remote troubleshooting tools (e.g., Teamviewer) (nice-to-have).
