Desktop Support Lead
About the role
As a Desktop Support Lead, you will configure, troubleshoot, and monitor personal computers and server systems, undertake pre-emptive maintenance on telecommunication equipment, and escalate unresolved issues. You will support various operating systems, Wide Area Network (WAN), and Local Area Network (LAN), responding to system issues or hardware problems via phone, messages, and emails. Additionally, you will manage equipment and hardware contracts, deploy products to address crucial business needs, assist with network issues, and collaborate with the IT team to install new software. You will also maintain inventory of peripheral devices, document computer hardware issues, and troubleshoot on the latest versions of operating systems such as Windows, macOS, or UNIX/Linux.
Responsibilities
- Configure, troubleshoot, and monitor personal computers and server systems.
- Perform pre-emptive maintenance on telecommunication equipment and escalate unresolved issues.
- Support various operating systems, WAN, and LAN; respond to system issues or hardware problems via phone, messages, and emails.
- Manage equipment and hardware contracts; deploy products to address crucial business needs.
- Assist with network issues and collaborate with the IT team to install new software.
- Maintain inventory of peripheral devices and document computer hardware issues.
- Troubleshoot on the latest versions of operating systems (Windows, macOS, UNIX/Linux).
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT support experience.
- Expertise in operating systems and knowledge of networking and software installation.
- Proficiency in Windows, macOS, Linux/Unix, SCCM, Autopilot, and Active Directory.
- Experience working in both remote and onsite environments.
Pay
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour. The pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.
