About the Opportunity

The Desktop Packaging Engineer is responsible for building, testing, and deploying Windows and macOS application packages to support secure and efficient software delivery. This role is vital in converting vendor patches and emergency security fixes into production-ready packages, enabling timely remediation of high-risk vulnerabilities. The position contributes directly to maintaining endpoint security and compliance by collaborating with application owners, security teams, and support functions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop application packaging solutions and supporting infrastructure
• Ensure packaging aligns with platform performance, scalability, and reliability requirements
• Author and maintain policies, standards, and standard operating procedures for packaging and deployment
• Monitor and analyze performance and capacity metrics to optimize solutions and meet SLAs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in desktop engineering or application packaging
• Proven experience with SCCM / MECM, Workspace One, or Microsoft Intune
• Skilled in application packaging technologies such as MSI, MSIX, App-V
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting
• Experience managing application deployment in enterprise environments
• Solid understanding of Windows OS (10/11)
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and change management
• Adaptability and curiosity in learning and applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Preferred: Experience in financial services or regulated environments
• Preferred: Familiarity with Azure AD / Endpoint security tools
• Preferred: Experience with VDI solutions (Citrix, VMware Horizon)
• Preferred: Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation pipelines
• Preferred: Experience with OS imaging and provisioning (MDT, Autopilot)
