Job Summary
Responsible for providing technical leadership and direction, as well as project management for the installation and maintenance of a stable desktop hardware and software environment. Installs, modifies, and repairs personal computer hardware and software. Project management liaison for Information Systems.
Required Qualifications
- Require associates degree in related field and three (3) years related experience, or additional relevant years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirement on a year for year basis.
- Require A + + MS Certification OR
- Require a bachelors degree in related field and three (3) years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer experience managing a diverse range of physical and virtual endpoints, including server VMs, workstation VMs, desktops, laptops, tablets, phones, thin clients, printers, scanners, and other devices in a modern healthcare organization.
- Prefer expertise in managing, configuring, and upgrading various operating systems: Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android.
- Prefer proficiency in creating Windows images, deploying applications through a package manager, and managing endpoints using MDM systems, SCCM.
- Prefer demonstrated proficiency in Windows domain management tools, including Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy Management, and Print Management.
- Prefer knowledge of the latest networking technologies and standards, including the OSI model, DHCP, DNS, IPv4 subnetting, APIPA, NIC, MAC addresses, VLANs, APs, SSIDs, Wifi bands and channels, PoE, VPN, etc.
- Prefer ability to represent the Desktop Engineer team on large-scale projects working with project managers to assess needs, communicate timely updates, and meet deadlines.
- Prefer professional written and verbal communication skills with customers, vendors, teammates, and leadership.
