About the role
Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure. They analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. Additionally, they engage in long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to current projects by analyzing problems and tech issues, offering solutions, and testing, modifying, automating, and integrating systems.
- Engage in long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution.
- Offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify technical and timeline risks upfront.
- Work closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs throughout the lifespan of a project.
Requirements
- Deep expertise within specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Enterprise IT application experience.
- Hands-on experience in at least one of the following: software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture in public cloud (AWS domain).
- In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
- Experience driving for engineering solutions and working across teams.
- Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce conclusions and responses.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong process improvement experience.
