Essential Functions
- Answer phone in a professional and helpful manner, take messages, and transfer calls as needed.
- Greet tenants, staff, and visitors cordially to the hotel and set a hospitable tone.
- Receive and appropriately direct and/or respond to tenant complaints, work-orders, and other tenant concerns in a timely and efficient manner and with excellent customer service.
- Ensure security of the hotel by utilizing video surveillance and conducting hourly rounds to monitor all entrances, common areas, and building perimeter, and swiftly respond to and appropriately report all safety issues, crises, emergencies and all other concerns.
- Provide accurate and complete information and direct tenants, visitors and applicants to appropriate staff members based on their individual circumstances and needs.
- Log all visitors in and out of the hotel and enforce the San Francisco Uniform Hotel Visitor policy and all THC policies regarding visitors.
- Observe and report tenant lease, house rules, and all policy violations in a timely, accurate, and appropriate manner.
- Follow and model building safety procedures at all times.
- Participate in keeping the hotel interior and perimeter clean by taking trash bins in and out, sweeping lobby area, and occasionally providing minor janitorial support.
- Receive, sort, secure, and hand out mail to tenants and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of tenant and visitor information and concerns.
- Attend all meetings as scheduled and participate in meetings as requested.
Essential Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience working in front desk reception or in customer service is required.
- An ability to document incidents and complete paperwork accurately is required.
- An ability to read, understand, and apply language from manuals, policies, technical procedures, and instructions is required.
- An ability to demonstrate customer service and reception skills is required.
- The ability to read, communicate orally, and write in English is required.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail is required.
- The ability to clearly explain services, operations, and hotel rules while listening effectively to tenant, staff, and visitor requests is required.
- All post-contingency offer background checks, reference checks, and TB screening clearances must be passed.
- De-escalation and conflict resolution training and experience are preferred.
- Experience working in non-profit or public sector is preferred.
