About the role
Gensler is a design firm that creates spaces for technology companies to support all work modes while advancing wellness and ESG goals. This position is available in Seattle for a Designer with an interest in interiors.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on projects to hone skills in programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
- Brainstorm interior architecture approaches to meet clients' needs
- Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
- Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
- Collaborate within the team structure to deliver the best work for clients
- Partner with product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to develop a knowledge of finishes and furniture
- Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school
- 2-5 years of interior design project experience
- Outstanding graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas throughout the process
- Portfolios should include well organized examples of design work during school as well as relevant finish palates, test fitting, working visualizations, and design documentation completed during internships or previous positions
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SketchUp, and Revit highly preferred
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices
Benefits
The base salary will be estimated between $72,000 - $82,000 annually plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
