Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise engineering design documents and technical drawings using applicable CAD platforms (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenBridge) in support of project deliverables.
- Translate engineer direction, markups, and sketches into accurate and complete design documentation with minimal supervision.
- Apply company CAD standards to ensure consistency in layers, symbols, line styles, and sheet organization across all deliverables.
- Perform quality control checks and incorporate applicable agency standards, guidelines, and checklists to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve design issues and maintain project schedules.
- Support preparation of technical documentation, reports, and exhibits as needed.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation to support collaboration and efficient project execution.
- Develop pipeline and facility layouts, including plan and profile drawings.
- Produce hydraulic profiles, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Support field investigations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
- Capture and coordinate design elements to support project delivery and construction documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in Computer-Aided Drafting/Design, Applied Science, or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience preparing civil, transportation, traffic, structural, aviation, H&H, and/or utility design documents.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads).
- Strong knowledge of applicable design standards, processes, and documentation requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven record of producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.
