Designer, Menswear
About the role
At Everlane we are product leaders building a first-class design team. This position focuses on designing and developing great products for Menswear Everlane Customers, including shirting, knitwear, casual and tailored bottoms, as well as support on both technical and tailored outerwear. Our brand ethos and design aesthetic is one of purity and simplicity; less is more. Our vision is to create perfect and timeless wardrobe pieces for every Everlane customer through a thorough editing process—from fabric to fit, drape, and construction.
Responsibilities
- Report to and support the Director of Design in the creation of menswear product
- Initiate designs beginning with thorough research and inspirational images
- Work closely with other members of the design team to develop cohesive seasonal product groupings
- Hand sketch initial ideas and computer sketch final ideas
- Create technical packages with incredible attention to detail and construction
- Communicate and collaborate with Raw Materials, Tech, and Production teams to ensure optimal product development
- Collaborate with Merchandising partners to build seasonal knowledge of strong, successful, and own-able Everlane designs and apply this when designing future products to drive the business forward
- Assist with the preparation of presentations for milestone meetings
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
- Technical knowledge of menswear premium construction
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion or a closely related design field
- Great taste and a strong understanding of casual chic
- Desire to work on a collaborative and diverse team dedicated to doing good for the planet and the consumer
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a solution-oriented approach to challenges

Schedule
This is a full-time role based at our Los Angeles office headquarters. We are on a hybrid schedule, with at least three days in office per week (Tuesdays through Thursdays). Product teams flex to five days in office when needed.
Pay
California resident: The annual compensation range for this role is $67,000–95,000, based on the Los Angeles geographic area. Actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
