Position Summary The Designer Jewelry Merchandiser plays an essential role in the operational execution of the Designer Jewelry category. Working closely with the Designer Jewelry Buyer, this position helps ensure merchandise moves accurately and efficiently from purchase order creation through receipt, product setup, store distribution, replenishment, repair, and return. This role also supports inventory replenishment, product data integrity, vendor communication, store needs, and the execution of brand launches, trunk shows, and other in-store initiatives. Based at the Support Center in Raleigh, NC, the Designer Jewelry Merchandiser serves as an important connection between the Buyer, vendors, store teams, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and committed to maintaining accurate information and consistent operational processes.________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Purchase Order Configuration & Product Setup Ensure all required purchase order fields are completed accurately, including vendor information, product descriptions, costs, retail pricing, classifications, attributes, and allocation details. Review product information for completeness and consistency before merchandise is received or distributed. Upload highquality product images and supporting product information as part of the item setup process. Research and resolve missing or conflicting product information in partnership with the Buyer and vendor. Communicate any pricing, margin, product data, or purchase order discrepancies to the Buyer before processing. Receiving & Inventory Processing Receive Designer Jewelry merchandise accurately against open purchase orders. Verify style numbers, quantities, costs, retail prices, product descriptions, and merchandise condition upon arrival. Research discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with the Buyer, vendor, and appropriate internal teams. Ensure merchandise is fully processed, tagged, and prepared for transfer within established timelines. Maintain organized and secure handling of highvalue merchandise throughout the receiving process. Follow established inventorycontrol procedures to protect product accuracy and accountability. Escalate shortages, overages, damages, incorrect merchandise, or other receiving concerns promptly. Tagging, Allocation & Transfers Tag merchandise with the correct SKU, product description, and retail price. Prepare and execute transfers to store locations according to allocation instructions provided by the Buyer. Verify transfer quantities and destinations before merchandise leaves the Support Center. Coordinate with store teams regarding incoming merchandise, priority shipments, and productrelated questions. Track outstanding transfers and follow up on discrepancies or delivery issues when necessary. Support inventory balancing between locations by processing approved transfers accurately and promptly. Ensure merchandise is packaged securely and presented appropriately for store distribution. Replenishment Support Assist the Designer Jewelry Buyer with automatic replenishment processes when needed. Help review and update reorder points to support appropriate inventory levels and continued product availability. Support the maintenance of accurate replenishment settings within Adaptive. Assist with approved replenishment uploads and verify that updates are reflected correctly in the system. Help ensure core and bestselling merchandise remains appropriately stocked across store locations. Repairs, Returns & Logistics Coordinate outbound shipping for product transfers, vendor returns, stock outrepairs, and other approved merchandise movements. Process returns to vendors (RTVs), ensuring merchandise and supporting documentation are accurate and complete. Track RTVs through completion and follow up with vendors regarding outstanding credits, replacements, or resolutions. Manage stock outrepairs by preparing shipments, maintaining accurate records, monitoring repair status, and coordinating the return of completed merchandise. Verify that repaired or returned merchandise is processed correctly upon receipt. Maintain organized documentation for shipments, tracking information, repairs, RTVs, and vendor credits. Escalate delayed repairs, unresolved vendor returns, missing credits, or shipping discrepancies as needed. Product Data & Reporting Maintain accurate and consistent product information within Adaptive. Review product records for missing images, incomplete descriptions, incorrect pricing, or other dataquality issues. Assist with monthly vendor reporting and other recurring Designer Jewelry reports. Support data cleanup and product maintenance projects as assigned. Help ensure information shared with stores, internal departments, and vendors is accurate and current. Provide requested product and inventory information to support departmental decisionmaking. Identify recurring data or operational issues and recommend process improvements. Store, Project & Event Support Support instore projects, brand launches, trunk shows, visual updates, and other Designer Jewelry events as needed. Assist with preparing merchandise, product lists, transfers, shipping materials, and supporting documentation for events. Coordinate the movement of event merchandise to and from store locations. Help ensure event product is processed, tagged, and delivered within the required timeline. Assist with postevent reconciliation, merchandise returns, transfers, and reporting. Partner with store teams to resolve product or inventory questions related to launches and events. Provide onsite support when necessary to help ensure successful execution. Vendor & Cross-Functional Communication Communicate directly with vendors regarding stockout repairs, RTVs, missing information, credits, shipping updates, and monthly reporting. Partner daily with the Designer Jewelry Buyer to support merchandise plans, priorities, and deadlines. Maintain regular communication with store teams regarding product flow, transfers, repairs, returns, and outstanding issues. Collaborate with Inventory Control, Marketing, eCommerce, Accounting, and other internal departments as needed. Provide product information, images, and documentation to internal partners when requested. Build strong working relationships with vendors and internal teams through clear, professional, and timely communication. Escalate issues that could affect inventory accuracy, store execution, vendor relationships, or customer experience. Operational Excellence Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fastpaced merchandise environment. Maintain a high level of accuracy when handling product data, purchase orders, inventory, and highvalue merchandise. Follow departmental procedures and contribute to the development of consistent, efficient workflows. Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, communication, and processing time. Maintain organized workspaces, files, product records, and supporting documentation. Participate in inventory audits, product research, and special projects as assigned. Protect confidential company, vendor, pricing, and product information. Perform other Designer Jewelry merchandising duties as needed to support the department and stores. ________________________________________ Qualifications Retail or Merchandising experience required; luxury retail, fine jewelry, or designer jewelry experience is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, product receiving, transfers, replenishment, merchandising, and store support. Experience handling highvalue merchandise responsibly, securely, and accurately. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fastpaced retail environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on timesensitive tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with buyers, vendors, store teams, and internal departments. Retailfocused problemsolving skills and the ability to research and resolve inventory, receiving, pricing, or productdata discrepancies. Comfortable working with retail merchandise systems, spreadsheets, purchase orders, product data, and detailed documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications preferred. Ability to lift, pack, and move merchandise or shipping materials as needed. Flexibility to provide occasional onsite support for store projects, product launches, floor sets, trunk shows, and special events.
