Summary
The Designer II supports the design and development of architectural projects by producing high-quality design presentations, construction documents, and technical project materials. This role collaborates closely with project teams throughout all project phases, contributing to design documentation, Revit modeling, coordination with consultants, and construction administration tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with design development, including Revit modeling, material research, and presentation graphics
- Support project documentation through all phases, from schematic design to construction administration
- Prepare and organize construction drawings, plans, elevations, and details under supervision
- Absorb and apply advanced proficiency in Revit, including file management, drawing setup, and troubleshooting
- Support construction administration by reviewing submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change documents
- Coordinate with internal team members and external consultants to resolve conflicts and discrepancies
- Contribute to proposals, interviews, and office design charrettes
- Estimate and manage time for assigned tasks within agreed budgets
Requirements
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited university
- Minimum 3 years of experience producing architectural drawings in Revit
- Strong understanding of basic construction systems and architectural detailing
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, including file management, drawing setup, and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of building codes and technical architectural terminology
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and consultants
- Self-directed, organized, and able to manage priorities and deadlines
- Professional, respectful, and motivated to take on increasing responsibility
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $31.77 - $44.66/hour ($66,073 - $92,892).
Schedule
The position is located in our San Jose, CA office. The position requires 3 days in the office and the ability to work from home Mondays and Fridays; Fridays are also half days.
