Designer II
Job Purpose
The Designer II will partner with engineers to create 3D models and drawings for the development of new products and changes to existing products. They will deliver quality drawings that accurately reflect the design requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create component and assembly drawings containing relevant technical information following CNH drafting standards
- Apply basic GD&T knowledge to drawings and progress to deep knowledge over time
- Support design changes to drawings and models of legacy and new products
- Test Fixture Modeling Support and drawing generation
SolidWorks Administration Role
- PDM Vault Management
- User Privileges and Access
- Drawing Approval routing adjustments
- Toolbox Management and Updates: Hardware, component table drawings, etc
EMS Tester Development Team
- Support Engineering by Modeling and Drawings of Test Fixtures
- Assembly and basic test assistance
Document Control / Enterprise Resource Planning System Champion
- Develop a strong working knowledge of PCM, Team Center, and iView to provide support for Sioux Falls and NA engineers
- Properly release models and drawings into CNH and Raven systems
- Facilitate PN Assignment, Engineering Part Creation, and Drafting Closure Actions
- Supports changes with Sioux Falls Factory and NA product development engineering teams
- Process Roughly 10-25 ECO files per week which includes 10-15 product design drawings per week
3D Printing Resource
- Support and assist with 3D printing components for fixtures or prototype product designs with the FDM and SLS machines
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $63,750 to $97,750 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
Experience Required
- Five (5) years of modeling experience
- Three (3) years of industrial product design exposure
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) Year Technology Degree preferred to be in 3D CAD Related system
- Previous experience in 3D CAD modeling
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Strong Communication Skills and Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with engineers, technicians, and project engineers
- Problem-Solving: Identifying and work through resolving design challenges with engineers
- Strong attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in drawings, specifications, and setup in associated systems
