What You Will Do

GFT Infrastructure is seeking a Designer to join our Geotechnical Dams & Hydraulics Team in Houston or Fort Worth, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at one of our Texas offices.

What You’ll Be Challenged To Do

  • Aiding in the development of drainage impact studies
  • Preparing drainage construction plans and specifications
  • Compiling watershed drainage studies, master plans, and engineering reports
  • Aiding in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
  • Collaborating with other team members and consultants
  • Attending meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

What You Will Bring To Our Firm

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT license in the State of Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 0-8 years of experience in H&H
  • Expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Self-motivated and good oral and written communication skills

What We Prefer You Bring

  • Knowledge of H&H software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM and ArcGIS. Infoworks ICM knowledge is a plus)
  • PE in the State of Texas

Pay

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $125,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
