About the role
This role supports the Chicago market and is open to a fully remote candidate. It involves overseeing project design progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, as-builts, and operations and maintenance manuals.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive design plan to meet schedules and budgets
- Participate in team and on-site progress meetings
- Understand and follow all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications
- Ensure AHJ requirements and procedures are followed
- Multi-task and prioritize among assignments with a strong adherence to deadlines
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in the design of fire alarms or low-voltage systems
- Previous experience working in Revit and AutoCAD
- Prior large project design experience, especially in data centers
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Maintain cutting-edge industry knowledge
- Pre-plan and execute tasks with great detail
- NICET Certification preferred
- Experience with Navisworks, Revizto, or other BIM tools preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Understanding of building codes and standards
- Experience with BIM tools (Navisworks, Revizto)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Pay
$35.00 - $48.00 per hour plus bonus
