Key Responsibilities
- Generate and present creative ideas for new accounts and products, considering customer needs and production feasibility.
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives to present new designs and products to clients and prospects.
- Proactively review existing accounts and recommend updates for style, board weight, and other developments.
- Stay informed about industry changes and research new equipment innovations to enhance company operations.
- Manage workload priorities and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Uphold and promote all company policies and procedures, including safety standards and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: College degree or significant coursework in drafting, design, or engineering. Minimum of five years of experience in graphics, drafting, or a related field. Proven ability to communicate effectively with both customers and sales staff.
- Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated supervisory experience. Experience in a production or manufacturing facility, particularly within the corrugated industry. Formal training or education in art.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Strong presentation skills for various audiences including management, clients, and the public.
Mathematical Skills
- Aptitude for working with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Able to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical scenarios.
Reasoning Ability
- Skilled in problem definition, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing sound conclusions.
- Ability to interpret complex technical instructions and manage abstract and concrete variables.
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities for efficient operation.
- Experience with budget development, adherence, and analysis.
- Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., wage and hour, environmental, OSHA, EEO).
