Designer
About the role
Weber Shandwick is seeking a Designer to join our dynamic creative team. Based in Detroit, we welcome candidates who are open to remote work. Eastern Time working hours are required.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute original, persuasive, conceptual and visually compelling designs aligned with agency and brand standards.
- Conceptualize and produce mood boards, iconography, typography, illustrations, brand books, printed materials, organic and paid social media assets, GIFs, memes, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
- Collaborate with Art Directors to create designs that generate engagement.
- Leverage layout, design and typography skills to create PowerPoint presentations, templates and social assets.
- Design and execute with meticulous attention to detail.
- Incorporate feedback from Creative Directors, teammates and clients with precision and a positive attitude.
- Become a brand style guide expert.
- Understand the importance of visual hierarchy in design.
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and Powerpoint, as well as emerging digital and social design trends.
- Working knowledge of digital, UX and UI design principles.
- Knowledge of AfterEffects, Sketch and HTML are a plus, but not mandatory.
- Animation skills a plus, but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of work and/or internship experience (digital, social and/or print).
- Strong working knowledge of social media and design/video best practices.
- Experience working on Automotive is a plus (but not mandatory).
- Possess a strong desire to learn and work on both large and small projects from conception through production.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Able to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional judgment when working with clients, teammates and production partners.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and endlessly curious.
- Interest in staying on top of digital trends and emerging media.
- Able to prioritize and manage own time.
Benefits
Salary Range: $58,700 USD - $72,000 USD. Employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination prior to start date, unless eligible for a medical or religious accommodation or other accommodation required under applicable law.
Pay
$58,700.00 - $72,000.00
Schedule
Minimum of three days a week in the office, increasing over time. Exceptions may apply based on agency or manager requirements.
