Designer

Essential Responsibilities

• Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for projects such as FTTH deployments and commercial developments
• Work with power companies and design power route and one-line schematics
• Manage growth and sustainment of existing networks, including relocations and infrastructure changes
• Perform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP records
• Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes
• Conduct site walks for data collection and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Able to adapt within a dynamic work environment

Qualifications

• Education: College, Trade, or Technical Diploma (preferably civil, electrical/telecommunications, GIS)
• Experience: 3+ years in OSP telecommunications or related field using AutoCAD
• Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe. GIS is a plus.
• Strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to interpret construction documents and collaborate effectively

Work Conditions

Office-based (90%) with occasional travel. This role will begin as a remote (work-from-home) position and will transition to a full-time, in-office role based in Florence, Kentucky once the new location is operational.
