Designer

Responsibilities

• Programming and space planning
• Site verification
• Product specifications
• Drawing and inventory management
• Coordination with consultants
• Fabrics and finish palette selection
• Assisting sales with client presentations
• Participation in specialty groups

Requirements

• BS or BA degree in Interior Design from a FIDER/CIDA accredited institution
• High level of attention to detail and technical proficiency
• Experience drawing or specifying contract furnishings
• Knowledge of IBC, ADA, MAAAB, and other life safety codes
• Ability to coordinate, plan, organize, and manage multiple responsibilities
• Self-motivated, innovative, and team-focused
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Confident in leading client presentations
• Familiarity with the A&D and commercial interiors industry
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2018 and Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn other software programs quickly
• CET, CAP Designer, CAP Worksheet, SketchUp experience preferred

Physical Demands

• Sedentary work involving sitting/standing
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving between worksites
• Moving oneself in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces

Work Environment

• Fast-paced office environment daily
• Visits to various sites, including warehouses, construction sites, client sites, and offices
