About the role

Crate and Barrel Designers help customers visualize home design trends and build long-term relationships by guiding them through furnishing projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and provide enriching customer interactions
• Create elevated designs for customers using preferred design tools
• Conduct customer outreach and develop design packages to brand standards
• Ensure timely follow-up and deliver projects within determined timelines
• Stay informed with the brand's aesthetics and merchandising strategy
• Engage customers on the sales floor by demonstrating selling skills
• Network and clientelize to build lasting relationships
• Support store training and educate on design services

Requirements

• Possess a clear understanding of the brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy
• Understand and apply product information, including characteristics, care information, and industry trends
• Communicate effectively and translate the brand vision to customers
• Be proficient in design functions such as spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, and interior design styles
• Use technology like 2D and 3D tools, Google suite, video conferencing, and iPad
• Staying updated on current design trends and business changes

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience in Furniture Sales/Home Decor Design or retail/customer service
• Experience working one-on-one with clients and recommending solutions
• Proficiency in Google platforms and virtual communication
• Experience with design tools

Skills

• Excellent, effective, and timely communication skills
• Strong affinity for technology (2D and 3D tools, Google suite, video conferencing)
• Ability to stay up to date on current design trends
