DESIGNER 3

About the role

Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CAD, CAM or CATIA. Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.

• Captures design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of experience -or- Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years experience.
• Strong office and Design tool capabilities. Microsoft Office, Ship Contructor, AutoCAD.
• Experience in checking design products.

Nice to have

• 5 years experience in Design.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma/GED.
• Must have 7 years of experience or an Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years experience.
