Designated Safety Representative - Traveler

About the role

Cummings Electrical is seeking a Designated Health & Safety Representative (DSR) to monitor and support health and safety practices on our projects. This role is crucial to ensuring compliance with company, local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand the health and safety procedures and requirements as established by Cummings Electrical and the project.
• Advise CELP’s Project team, employees, and subcontractors in safe work practices needed to comply with company safety procedures, project requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Routinely inspect the project for safety violations and stop any unsafe work practices/conditions.
• Report all safety incidents and near-misses to Project Manager, CELP Safety Department, and contractor within 24 hours of occurrence, unless otherwise specified by the project.

Requirements

• 3 years of construction safety experience
• Must have OSHA 500, CSHO, and First Aid/CPR Certifications
• High School diploma
• Willing to travel to out-of-town projects with per diem
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Employment is subject to background check and drug screen
