Design Technologist

About the role

We are a startup-in-residence at IDEO, funded by leading VCs, dedicated to building software that learns and adapts to individuals. Our mission is to transform the relationship between people and computers through Personal AI, focusing on creating rich, context-aware, and multi-player AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Turn rough ideas into prototypes, demos, and lightweight product experiences
• Explore and test new interactions through design and code
• Work with the founders to shape product direction through making, not just specs
• Bridge design and engineering so ideas are carried through with quality and speed
• Create reusable patterns and cohesive design direction and systems

Requirements

• Strong product taste and prototyping ability
• Comfortable shipping concepts straight to production and creating pixel perfect designs
• Keen and unrelenting eye for interaction, detail, and user experience
• A clear communicator who can work fluidly across design and engineering
• Curious, growth-oriented, and have strong opinions held loosely
• Ideal candidates have built things before, at a startup, on their own, or both

Qualifications

• Experience in design and technology
• Ability to prototype and iterate quickly
• Strong understanding of user experience and interaction design
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment

Pay

$100,000 - $150,000 annually
