About the role
The Storm design system team within AUX defines the UX foundations, guidelines and owns the design system that enables teams across Amazon Advertising to design on-brand advertiser experiences efficiently and at scale. We're looking for a Design Technologist (DT) to define and deliver tooling solutions for our design system to support designers and developers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Define and deliver tooling solutions for our design system to support designers and developers worldwide.
- Build AI-based ecosystems to rapidly accelerate builders' access to high-quality prototypes, user-centered writing guidelines and research agents to pair product design with customer feedback.
- Unlock critical UX resources, democratizing and making them accessible for utilization in all stages of the product development lifecycle.
- Automate inefficiencies across teams by staying close to customer needs.
- Experiment with emerging technologies and workflows, with the expectation that experiments lead to shipped solutions that measurably improve how teams work.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience.
- Experience with UI design for complex workflows and for end users.
- BS degree in computer science or equivalent, or 4+ years of technical work experience.
- Proficiency with Figma and modern front-end frameworks (React, TypeScript).
- Experience building applications that integrate LLMs, AI/ML APIs, or agentic workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- TypeScript experience.
- Strands Agents or similar agentic frameworks.
- Figma Plugin and REST APIs.
- Kiro skills, powers, and agents.
- Takes advantage of the latest agentic UX patterns and invents new ones when necessary.
- Uses emerging AI tools and techniques to create solutions that were previously impossible or unfeasible to implement.
Basic Qualifications
- Have coding samples in front end programming languages.
- Experience with web, mobile web, and mobile app development including both front-end and back-end (e.g., building APIs, services, or cloud-based applications).
