Design Systems Designer (Remote, Neuquen)

Full‑time, remote (Latin America) position with Blacksmith Agency.

About the role

Blacksmith Agency builds websites and marketing programs for clients across the US. As a Design Systems Designer you own how client design systems are built. You take a brand and reference sites, then extract the pattern into a working system: tokens, variables, modes, and core components a build pipeline can execute without asking you questions. This senior, systems‑first seat focuses on standing up new systems quickly and correctly across several client brands, not one‑off pages or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming that the pipeline can read predictably.
• Ship core component libraries that hold up across an entire site, not just a homepage.
• Document the system so a developer or an automated pipeline can execute it without questions.
• Work across several client brands simultaneously, each looking distinctly different, while maintaining the same structural rigor.

Requirements

• 4+ years designing for the web, with real design‑system work in your portfolio.
• Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto layout, and variants—actual architecture, not just tidy files.
• A portfolio showing varied client work with consistent underlying rigor.
• Strong English proficiency and ability to overlap with US business hours.
