Responsibilities
- Writing source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables.
- Maintain a component and sub-system DVP&R, support and keep up to date with component bench testing, simulation, drive-cell and static cell test results as well as perform data analysis and establish proper corrective actions as required.
- Lead virtual team to design and perform CFD and FEA analysis for components to meet performance.
- Support pilot and pre-production build process at the assembly plant for development and installation of AC line and compressors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university.
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC compressors and/or A/C line design/development.
- Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) and basic thermodynamics knowledge.
- Experience in e-compressors, chillers, EV components are a plus.
- Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
Qualifications
- Solid hands-on experience knowledge of Unigraphics NX and CATIA.
- Basic knowledge in Thermodynamics.
- Automotive assembly plant experience.
- HVAC system engineering knowledge.
