Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple data center design projects from proposal through construction documentation and project closeout
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, including electrical, mechanical, structural, and BIM/VDC professionals
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and deliverables
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, design reviews, coordination meetings, and client presentations
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
  • Ensure design quality, consistency, and compliance with applicable U.S. building codes, client standards, and industry best practices
  • Coordinate with technical discipline leads to resolve design challenges and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Support contract administration, scope management, change orders, and project reporting
  • Mentor junior project staff and promote continuous improvement in project delivery processes
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation, project planning, and client relationship management as needed
  • Travel occasionally to client offices, project sites, and team meetings across the United States

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary engineering or design projects, preferably involving mission-critical facilities or data centers
  • Proven experience leading complex projects through all phases of design and engineering
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including electrical power distribution, mechanical cooling systems, and critical facility design principles
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams within a consulting engineering, architecture, or EPC environment
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling software
  • Familiarity with Revit, Revizto, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or comparable design coordination platforms is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of applicable U.S. building codes, including IBC, NEC, NFPA standards, and other relevant industry regulations
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple concurrent projects

Education Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. EIT or PEng license and additional certifications (LEED AP, PMP, etc.) are a plus.
