Design Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a Fire Protection Design Project Manager who will design Fire Protection Systems for various projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and the layout of Fire Sprinkler systems
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents, including all disciplines of construction drawings and specifications
• Perform and review complex hydraulic calculations to ensure system performance and compliance
• Write, plan, coordinate, and make presentations to individuals and groups
• Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with Revit, Bluebeam, and BIM
• Lead 3D BIM coordination, managing interference with structural elements (joists, sleeves, inserts) and MEP systems
• Provide lists for fabrication and coordinate between the trades

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred (Architectural, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management Degrees), or equivalent experience
• Fire Protection design experience preferred
• NICET certification preferred
• Revit, Bluebeam, and BIM experience preferred
• Experience with Data Center, Mission Critical, and Semiconductor industry projects preferred
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Excellent communicator, self-motivated individual with great organizational skills
