Design Manager | Workplace Interiors

Responsibilities
- Lead concept development and guide the design narrative for a wide range of projects
- Partner with clients to understand their vision and bring it to life through inspired, buildable design
- Curate materials, finishes, furnishings, and details that reflect both design integrity and operational excellence
- Mentor and motivate a talented team of designers, fostering a collaborative, creative culture
- Lead design presentations that communicate a strong point of view with clarity and confidence
- Manage project delivery, ensuring design intent carries through documentation, construction, and completion
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, and brand strategists to deliver seamless, cohesive experiences
- Engage with the broader design and aviation community to build relationships and identify new opportunities
- Oversee the work of the Project Designers
- Direct the production of design materials that meet project objectives, including functional concepts, images, schedules and budgets
- Cultivate success through high level design and planning, facility requirements analysis, conceptual design and systems integration and teamwork
- Possess excellent programming and strategic planning skills
- Maintain knowledge regarding industry trends, professional practice, regulatory and construction practice and issues
- Build the firm’s practice by inspiring and motivating Project Designers
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of interior design experience, ideally in workplace
- Portfolio that demonstrates design excellence - from concept to realization
- Deep understanding of how design enhances the guest experience and brand identity
- Fluency in Revit, and familiarity with FF&E selection, detailing and documentation
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, teams, and client relationships
- Interest in sustainable design and innovation
- Professional registration preferred
Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Ongoing participation in outside design activities, groups, etc.
- Confident presentation ability

Pay
Base Salary Range: $90,000- $135,000 annually - Boston locations only
Schedule
This role is an in-office position based in Boston. Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role.
